Design System

Boozt back offices projects

Problem:

The absence of a dedicated designer posed significant challenges. Many back-office systems were developed collaboratively by developers and stakeholders, resulting in user confusion due to non-compliance with UX practices and the inclusion of overly complex flows, leading to unnecessary and additional user steps. Furthermore, the lack of shared components and predefined designs led to inconsistency across projects, with components not being appropriately maintained or reused.

Resolution:

Our initial focus was to standardize the user interface across diverse back-office systems. We achieved this by customizing Material UI to our requirements, ensuring consistency across projects and systems. This approach streamlined the design and development processes, allowing for a faster and more cohesive user experience.

Process:

We prioritized the adoption of best practices in design systems, including the use of auto layout, variants, and other key principles. This ensured the reusability of each component across all back-office tools, fostering a more efficient and unified design and development approach.
